Public planning sessions for naval air station redevelopment June 10-11
Residents interested in the redevelopment of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station in Horsham will have the opportunity to participate in the planning process during two days of meetings scheduled for June 10 and 11 at the Horsham Community Center. The event will be organized by RKG and Associates, the group tasked with developing a reuse plan on behalf of the Horsham Land Reuse Authority. RKG will conduct a two-day design charrette involving members of the community and the HLRA Board. The activities will begin with two identical public sessions on Friday afternoon and evening and will conclude on Saturday afternoon with a final presentation of the results. Meeting attendees will participate in a design exercise to prepare various sketch concepts for the team to consider. Each group will be facilitated by the RKG Team. By 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, RKG will organize the community’s thoughts into a presentation, demonstrating how the ideas could be incorporated into various reuse alternatives.
